The joint stock company for the extraction of construction blocks „MINERAL”
The establishment year of the first Stone Mine in Cricova is considered to be September 1946.
The miners' workplaces were illuminated with gas-fed lamps, and the miners manually sawed about 15-20 small blocks from natural stone.
By the end of 1953, the stone cutting machine invented by C.Galanin was introduced, which eliminated manual labor. Thanks to this technology, from 1946 to 1975, the productivity of stone extraction increased by 17 times.
If in 1953 the extracted volume was 5000 m³ of construction stone, then in 1974 it reached 159,000 m³.
In 1975, the Association of Mines from Cricova city was established, which included the stone extraction mines from Cricova, Milesti-Mici, Grigoriopol, Chisinau, Calininsc, and Ocnita.
The company's location is spread over an area of 268 hectares
The company's structure includes two production sectors and three auxiliary sectors, employing 220 workers. The extraction capacity includes 25 stone cutting machines
