VEO Worldwide Services continues to grow and is expanding its team with a new role for a Payroll Accountant for our client in France – a key position within the Payroll Department. You will be responsible for managing the entire payroll process for our French client's employees, ensuring the accuracy of calculations, adherence to deadlines, and compliance with French labor legislation as well as the company's internal policies.

As a Payroll Accountant, your main responsibilities will include:
· Maintaining and managing employee payroll records, including new hires, terminations, internal transfers, and contractual changes.
· Validating all payments and deductions, in accordance with internal controls and client policies.
· Ensuring full understanding and correct application of the client's employment contracts, internal policies, French tax legislation, mandatory insurances, and social security regulations — making sure all payroll elements are authorized, accurate, and compliant with French law.
· Guaranteeing the accurate and timely preparation and delivery of monthly payroll files.
· Handling client requests via phone and email in a professional manner, cultivating strong relationships, and ensuring a high level of client satisfaction.
· Consistently providing a high-quality global service to clients, adhering to agreed service standards and quality performance indicators.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
Higher education in the economic field (Accounting, International Relations, Finance, Business Administration)
Previous experience in payroll, finance, personnel management or related fields
A good level of French, both written and spoken (B1-B2)
A desire to learn, resilience to stress, and attention to detail;
Analytical skills, team spirit, and a focus on numbers.
· Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with payroll programs, SAP is an advantage.
· Ability to perform calculations and interpret financial data.
