Coordinator Economist of the Financial Supervision Consolidation Department

The job objectives are:

• Carrying out activities related to the supervision of insurance or reinsurance companies and other professional participants in the insurance market (insurance and/or reinsurance intermediaries and the National Bureau of Motor Insurers).

  Main Functional Duties:

  • Participating in the evaluation of insurance companies' activities and other professional participants in the insurance market according to the requirements of normative acts;

  • Participating in the processing, monitoring, and analysis of information obtained from insurance companies and other professional market participants in the form of reports;

  • Participating in the monitoring and assessment of key indicators, trends, developments, and risks of each insurance company, as well as identifying their causes.

  • Participating in conducting control actions in relation to insurance companies and other professional participants in the insurance market, and making proposals based on the results thereof.

  • Other duties as per the job description.

Minimum Mandatory Requirements for Candidates:

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in financial-economic fields with an average grade of 8 or higher for the entire duration of studies; For individuals with degrees obtained outside of Moldova, qualifications (e.g., GPA, etc.) obtained in the respective country and/or institutions must be indicated;

• At least one year of experience in the financial-economic sector will be considered an advantage;

• Knowledge of the principles of effective supervision;

• General understanding of prudential supervision in the insurance sector;

• Computer proficiency at user level and advanced knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint applications;

• English language proficiency, at least at an intermediate level (reading/writing/speaking);

• Competencies: integrity, responsibility, professionalism, team working, results-oriented, credibility, problem-solving ability, continuous learning, and development.

Behavioral Competencies:

• Structured thinking, tact and skill in working with people, perseverance, resistance to effort and stress, adaptability to new situations, ability to quickly switch between various professional issues – very good development;

• Ability to communicate orally and in writing, to clearly and concisely present findings, conclusions, and recommendations.
