Organization Description: Hospices of Hope is a British charity organization that has dedicated over 30 years to the active and effective development of Palliative Care Services in Southeast Europe. Present in the Republic of Moldova since 2008, Hospices of Hope Moldova has been actively developing, since 2017, the Hospices of Hope National Palliative Care Services Network – the first of its kind in the country.
Currently, this network includes five multidisciplinary mobile teams that provide free services to beneficiaries in the districts of Orhei, Soroca, Ocnita, and Taraclia, and in 2022 we developed a Day Center for palliative care services in the city of Orhei, and in 2023 we opened a Day Care Center for services in palliative care in the city of Chisinau.
The organization is part of the international network Hospices of Hope, which also has branches in Romania (Hospice Casa Sperantei in Brasov and Bucharest), Serbia (BELHospice in Belgrade), Greece, and Albania, with the headquarters being in the United Kingdom.
Job Description:
Ensure medical home care for the patients/beneficiaries of the Speranța Day Center;
Provide palliative care services at the Day Center;
Carry out the treatment plan developed by the specialist physician at the patient's home;
Ensure accurate data recording in primary records (e.g., consultation register, treatment register, etc.);
Recognize and identify risk groups and health problems of the beneficiaries;
Evaluate and monitor the symptoms of the beneficiaries;
Report in writing special cases among patients on the list, analyze them with the physician and establish intervention methods;
Perform medical assistance and rehabilitation activities, according to medical prescriptions;
Respond to emergencies, regardless of the location and situation;
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports on the beneficiaries' situation;
Keep an inventory of medical supplies and medications both in type and quantity;
Compile records, process statistical data, and periodically communicate them to superiors;
Manage waste (hazardous, non-hazardous, and household) resulting from medical activities;
Organize and conduct health education programs, counseling activities, educational lessons, and practical demonstrations for beneficiaries;
Participate in team meetings along with other specialists;
Prepare and monthly submit to the Day Center Coordinator the supporting documents (deliverables) resulting from one's own activities carried out within the day center;
Carry out any other orders given by the hierarchical superior, within the limits of the function, while respecting the legal basis.
Specific Conditions for Employment
Education: High school graduate in the medical field;
Experience: At least 2-3 years, with skills in medical assistance activities;
Computer Skills: Proficient in computer usage (MS Office, Outlook, Internet).
Foreign Languages: Russian and English would be an advantage;
Driving License: Category B, optional
